This was a sneak attack on catching Harris playing seriously and it didn't work as well as I would have liked but it is still a good sampling of just how pretty he plays. In fact today I wish I would have had a digital camcorder so that I could have caught him playing a piece of classical music. I'll have to look it up but I believe it was a Mozart composition he was playing by ear. Anyway the video is of him playing Greensleeves (What Child is This?).

Bagpipes and Drums 2007 - [The Mama]
This Labor Day weekend we went camping with our extended family to a Scottish Festival! Harris had cousins, Aunts, an Uncle, Grammy and Grandpa Johnson, and of course Mama and Papa to play with.
We had an awesome time with the family band, MPK (Mama and the Preacher Kids) that consists of Harris' Grammy, 4 Aunties, and a cousin. They performed twice on the Arena Stage playing an awesome mixture of Scottish Traditional Fiddle music, Contemporary Christian, and even some good ole Country music.
Harris, of course, wanted to be near the Drum and Bagpipe bands as much as possible and by his Grandpa. There is such a wonderful connection between those two and I can't explain it other than to say it is a Jesus thing. Harris adores the man and wants to be near him as much as possible. That's okay with me because as far as Father-in Laws go...I have the best one you could imagine or hope for.

Thanks to Celtic Nations and the many other pipe bands that attend the Wisconsin Scottish Highland games to perform in the bagpipe competition. You have been a great inspiration to Harris.
